The Temperature Control Box 1 with cable is designed exclusively for use with WPI Premium Stereotaxic frames to minimize heat loss and support optimal surgical outcomes in rodent research. Featuring easy-to-use dial control and pre-programmed animal temperature settings, it can be operated with or without a rectal probe (sold separately). This lightweight, small-footprint controller supports pre-op warming under an induction chamber, intraoperative heating on a stereotaxic frame or surgical table, and post-op cage warming for recovery. Compatible heating pads are available for mouse, neonatal rat, and rat stereotaxic instruments, ensuring precise temperature maintenance at every surgical stage.

Workflow Options

Pre-Op: Heating pad can be placed underneath an induction chamber to reduce heat loss during anesthetic administration.
During: Place heating pad on a rodent surgery table or stereotaxic instrument to maintain and monitor temperature during surgical procedures. Mouse heating pad designed for use with WPI Mouse Stereotaxic Instruments 505313 and 505307 Stereotaxic Instrument or Mouse and Neonatal Rat Adaptor (505243). Rat heating pad designed for use with WPI Rat Stereotaxic Instruments (505211) or WPI MouseNRat Stereotaxic Instruments (505200) Stereotaxic Instrument.
Post-Op: Cage heating pads can be placed in the animal's home cage for faster recovery following surgical procedures.
